Safety
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers was founded to protect workers health and well-being. Nearly 120 years later, the IBEW continues efforts to ensure safe workplaces for working men and women. Working in the energy business can pose various hazards, but our members’ skills, knowledge, and abilities enable them to mitigate hazards and perform quality work safely each day. Local 125 will continue advocating for our members to work safely and follow the appropriate laws, policies, and practices associated with their respective trades. During the next year, the Local plans to explore various options for engaging members in improving workplace safely. We will research issues, share information, provide educational opportunities, and communicate with our membership to protect them and the publics we serve.
The following are resources associated with safety. If you have additional resources that can be shared with our membership, contact the Local 125 business office at 503-262-9125.
